That's some serious horse power.
When this truck driver got his milk truck stuck in the snow, he had some unlikely saviors.
Draft horses are some of the strongest animals in the world.
There are a number of different breeds used as draft horses. They're often utilized on farms as work horses, but they can sometimes be show horses as well. They're notably used to pull buggies and work the fields under the control of Amish farmers.
Recently, a group of four draft horses, pulling an Amish man's buggy, came into the limelight when they helped free a milk truck from the snow.
On a routine milk pickup from an Amish farm amidst the blizard that swept the eastern US recently, Chris Schultz found his milk truck stuck on an embankment.
One of the Amish farmers offered to lend the help of his draft horses, knowing they'd be strong enough to free the milk tanker from the snow.
Four horses ended up freeing the truck, which weighed between 5,000 and 8,000 pounds. That's quite a feat. When a tow truck won't do, use the good ol' fashioned horse and buggy.
