7 Reasons Why Coffee And Drugs Are Basically The Same Thing
Coffee is very much like a drug, because, well, it's packed with caffeine–which is a drug. For that reason, coffee is exactly like a drug, because it is one. However, we as a society don't think of coffee as a drug, but rather just consume it in massive quantities on a daily basis, pretending there will be no adverse side effects from doing so. In fact, there's plenty of articles outlining why coffee is actually good for you.
However, if you take a step back, you'll see coffee for the drug it is.
Ever notice how coffee can make you tweaky, both while drinking it, and while not? You can get very tweaky if you've had more than a cup or two, and may become a bit tweaky in the middle of the afternoon if you haven't met your daily caffeine needs. Um, hello, coffee is totally drugging you out and you've just been accepting this annoyance. Why?!
When you do try to avoid getting those tweaky sensations, and instead chug away to your body's caffeine cravings, you can easily overwhelm your body into having a racing heart from all that caffeine. You know, like what drugs do to you?! Gee whiz, people.
Just like people addicted to drugs, people who consume copious amounts of coffee can become very unpleasant when not on their drug of choice (coffee). The saying, "don't speak to me until I've had my morning coffee" is just an admission of being addicted to a drug that lawmakers have yet to criminalize. What's up with that?!
4. You think you’re pleasant when “on” it
Drugs make you have a sensation of being very fun to be around and heightening every situation you're in. Coffee does the same thing, but instead by simply giving drinkers a head rush and waking them all–by jacking them full of caffeine (a drug). People think they're more pleasant when on coffee, but really they're the same to those on the outside looking in.
5. You can get rotten teeth because of it
Drugs can severely mess up your grill, and coffee is no different, by giving those heavy drinkers nasty yellowing of the teeth. Something that seems so good for you, surely wouldn't mess up your bodily makeup in a negative way, would it?! Well, yes. Yes it would.
Finally, just like drugs, coffee is a substance (in the form of a beverage) that people can't simply walk away from unscarred. Coffee hooks into your anatomical being and becomes one with you. You need the coffee and you can't survive without it! Well, you can, but it's clouded your mind like a drug and convinced you that you can't.

Continue drinking coffee if you want to fall further under its drug-like (since it is a drug) spell. The choice is yours! Maybe drink a coffee to mull it over.
