These Whimsical Coffee Table Designs Are Perfect for the Young at Heart

Ever since 2009, the iconic balloons of "Up" have appeared in costumes, art, and now, in coffee table designs.

While this unique coffee table looks as light as a feather (or a bunch of balloons), it's a bit more substantial than that.

The design uses steel rodding as the "balloon strings" to support the metallic resin balloons, and the glass tabletop.

The creative design comes from Duffy London's studio, led by University of Brighton designer, Christopher Duffy.

All the studio's pieces "[combine] art and function and play with the concepts of gravity, geometry and illusion."
