It Took A While To Build But Now This Girl Has Her Very Own Fairy Tale Room
Not even a month into the new year and we already have our first nominee for 2016 Father of the Year.
It started off as a plain, drab white room...
By the time the project was complete, the Father of the Year candidate had spent roughly 350 hours working on it and $4,250 on all supplies.
But as far as the manual labor went, well, he didn't anticipate it to be quite as grueling as it was.
"I was kind of un-prepared for the physical realities of this project," he writes on Imgur.
But as time went on, he became more comfortable with the physical demands of the build. He even took a private welding class to make sure he made built the rebar supports soundly.
The skeleton alone took him 120 hours - over a third of the time it took him to complete the project.
And finally, after nearly 10 months, the DIY dad had finally completed it. Then came the easy parts...
Painting and decorating, which he had a lot more experience in, particularly painting.
"Even though it was difficult, I learned a huge amount along the way. It turned out pretty well, and she's so happy in her new room!"
Radamshome said he purchased most of his decorative supplies at Michael's art store.
