Drive-in theaters aren't dead.
The first drive-in movie theater opened in Camden, New Jersey in 1933 and rose to popularity across the U.S. soon after.
At the end of World War II in the 50s and 60s, drive-ins were everywhere. There were more than 4,600 across the U.S. when they were at their most popular.
Today, drive-in theaters may seem like a relic of the past. But how amazing would it be go on a non-traditional movie date to the drive-in?
There are only 336 operating drive-in theaters in the U.S. right now, so you might actually be able to go to one.
