New 'Suicide Squad' Trailer Just Came Out And We Have So Many Questions
Worst. Heroes. Ever.
While entertaining, the first two trailers for DC Comic's 'Suicide Squad' were fairly ambiguous, but this one...well, this one is slightly less ambiguous.
And a hell of a lot more entertaining.
To the tune of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," fittingly enough.
Then we start getting better looks at the characters, as Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), the military officer charged with overseeing the Suicide Squad's missions, states their descriptions, starting with Deadshot (Will Smith).
"Deadshot...guy shoots people."
Of Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), "He's a crocodile...and he eats people." Of El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), "Burns people..."
"And she's just crazy," he says of Harvey Quinn (Margot Robbie), which we already knew full well.
"What was that? I should kill everyone and escape? Sorry...the voices..."
Speaking of crazy, we also get a look at Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) in his cell, going insane.
Presumably each member of the Suicide Squad is being video monitored, but that's not confirmed in the video, so perhaps Captain Boomerang is being studied for some particular reason.
Then, of course, there's a slew of maniacal Joker (Jared Leto) clips, because duh.
SO MANY TOYS.
We know this because Flag speaks to her directly when going through the descriptions, saying, "you're possessed by a witch," which implies the two have some form of personal relations - perhaps dating - and that Flag is aware of Moone's evil alter ego.
Does she not go on the mission with them? Is she taken out of harm's way by Flag? Does she betray the rest of the Suicide Squad? We also seldom see the Joker shown with the rest of the Squad. Are the two of them colluding in some way? We can only speculate.
Point is, it's more than suspect that Enchantress is missing from so many key clips, where even Slipknot (Adam Beach) and Katana (Karen Fukuhara) are featured.
We see him here nonchalantly blasting through a subway train with what looks like some sort of genetically enhanced tendril-arm.
Seriously. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS THING.
Here's a better look at the villain in still frame.
As for his identity? There's much rumor and speculation that the massive, clearly inhuman character is "Onslaught" a terrorist creation of once Suicide Squad comics super-villain, Antiphon, which would cohere with the original DC comic book story line.
