6 Signs You Are Too Busy And You Probably Need A Break To Save Yourself
Life: it gets busy. However, there's no need to let the act of living life ruin your opportunity to actually live your life. However, saying something seemingly profound such as that is much easier said than done. I can be completely honest, knowing that even as you read this, you're probably considering clicking other places, or checking something else on your phone or your mind is wandering through all the things you need to get done. I mean, I barely even have the time to write this.
1. Your mornings are a whirlwind
Being overwhelmingly busy starts the moment you wake up. You turn off the alarm on your phone, you see you've got multiple emails already piling up and are reminded of what's to come today. Just gotta try to get some exercise, clean up, eat some breakfast and oh god there's already so much to.
2. You don’t have time to do anything fun–any day of the week
If you can make it through you whirlwind mornings and wacky weekdays, you may think you've carved out some fun time, but not so fast my friend. Free time does not equal fun time because you need to catch up on that stuff you were putting off, just to get through that other stuff. Too bad you're so busy you can't unwind. Get back to work!
3. You can’t even enjoy nature, because all you hear is the “Beep, Boop, Beep, Bop” of technology ringing in your head
Maybe you should go for a nice hike to get away from it all? Like that's going to work. Technology has overrun your brain and eardrums and it's all you hear no matter where you go. You may be atop one of the most gorgeous mountain views, but you'll probably get "phantom-vibrate" and check your phone. It's your busy schedule that's ruining you!
4. You can only connect with friends via online outlets, because you simply don’t have time for IRL interactions
Your busy schedule, which obviously has no room for fun, also has absolutely no room for friends. Just check out what they're doing via social media, but you know all too well, as soon as you open an app to check it out, you'll get a push notification atop the screen–another email wanting you to get back to work. F*ck!
5. You can’t allow yourself to unplug from devices, because you get all twitchy
In fact, you're so consumed by your life's busyness you can't even step away from it, because you are it. When you try to unplug, your body just goes into shock and wonders what you've got going on, and why nothing is happening. You've gone completely mad at this point. You need to put your eyes to work somehow. What to do? Read a book? Well…
6. You’ve tried to unwind by reading a book in bed or something, but all you see is emails on the paperback pages
Yeah, reading that book is just going to make you think of the email you missed or the texts you never responded to. You really should turn your phone back on. You really should check your laptop. Maybe read a book on your tablet while simultaneously refreshing your email. Just to be sure.

Morale of the story? Life's busy, and you don't have time to live it.
