Alan Rickman may be gone, but his magic lives on.
You may know the late Alan Rickman best as Severus Snape in the "Harry Potter" films, but he was a man of many talents with a big heart for charity.
Just a month before his death on January 14 at age 69, Alan Rickman narrated this video of a tortoise slowly eating a strawberry to raise money for Save the Children and Refugee Council.
"It works like this, the more views the video gets, the more advertising revenue YouTube will give us," Rickman narrates. "We give that money to Save the Children and Refugee Council."
The organization behind the video, OneClickGiving, was founded by Oxford University students.
"Together, you and this tortoise can make a difference," Rickman says in the video, pledging for people to watch it. Do you need a more convincing reason?
Rickman received outpouring affection from his fans, who took to Twitter to share the project, which was sadly Rickman's last.
Along with sharing the project, they paid their respects to the actor, ensuring his legacy would live on.
And that the magic of his voice - and heart - would not be forgotten.
RIP, Alan Rickman.
