Photographer Flóra Borsi has a different eye than other photographers. Very different.
In her latest series "Animeyed," Hungarian photographer Flóra Borsi takes a unique approach to 'animal photography.'
Borsi superimposes various animals over part of her face, overlapping with her eye, to signify unity with nature.
She also expertly uses extensive makeup and props to further match the look and persona of the animal she superimposes.
Aside from serving as both photographer and makeup artist for the unique shoot, Borsi is also her own model.
“Using myself as model makes it easier for me to express my ideas and fantasies, even if it means working until 2 am,” she said in an interview. “I can visualize my ideas more effectively and execute them right away.”
And execute her ideas she does.
It's hard to believe each image is Borsi herself, but that's the magic of makeup and Photoshop.
Of course, you have to be incredibly skillful with both to achieve images as brilliant as these.
As for her objective, the Hungarian artist just wants to see people attempt to see life through the eyes of animals before doing something that could potentially damage their worlds.
