Christmas in Moscow Blows Every Other City's Celebrations Out of the Water
The weather outside might be frightful, but holy shit this place is delightful...
The Western world might celebrate Christmas on December 25, but for Russia and other Orthodox countries, January 7th is the magical day. And in the nation's capital, it is magical.
If there's anyone who knows how magical Moscow is, it's photographer Kristina Makeeva, who's lived there her whole life.
No, this is not a painting. It's ice. ART ICE.
Even the freaking cats love it.
And they're not even Orthodox.
Seriously. It's like a Tim Burton movie but more jolly.
The entire city is pretty much a winter wonderland, but the most picturesque scenes are mostly found at the Red Square and the Kremlin.
Sure, Moscow may not be the hottest spring break destination in the world...
Just don't tell anyone you're not actually Orthodox.
