Chipotle Wants You Back And They Will Give You Free Food To Woo You In
You may be well aware of the struggles that the beloved Mexican grill fast food chain Chipotle has been facing in recent months. An E. coli outbreak swept through varying states' Chipotle restaurants, and brought about some very serious concerns for customers and has gone as far as federal investigations into the company's practices.
With a company with such a devout customer base, this is horrendous news to burrito lovers everywhere, but Chipotle has a plan to win you and others back.
That's right, free food, from the delicious Mexican grill restaurant behemoth is on its way to customers, although you have to be willing to face the potentially impending E. coli exposure. Honestly, it seems worth the risk for some free Chipotle. Moran explained this practice is nothing new:
"We've always had it, but it just kind of drifted to such a low-grade level that it was kind of non-existent."
I have to be completely honest, my answer is undoubtedly, "HELL F*CKING YEAH!" But, Chipotle isn't just trying to gloss over their wrongdoings with free food. The Wall Street Journal reports Chipotle will also be closing all its stores on Feb. 8, 2016, for a company-wide meeting regarding E. coli and safe practices.
So, they're taking steps to prevent this happening again in the future, plus the whole free food thing, so it seems we all should maybe forgive Chipotle, for now?
Maybe making guac not force customers to take out a micro-loan every time they want it added to their order could help streamline the process of winning customers back for good, but that may just be wishful thinking on my part.
