3-11-16. Who's ready?
SURPRISE! J.J. Abrams dropped the trailer for post-apocalyptic thriller "10 Cloverfield Lane" on January 15, and it's EPIC.
The trailer debuted in theaters with Michael Bay's 13 Hours." It stars John Goodman, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and John Gallagher, Jr.
The film appears to be a sequel of sorts (maybe a spin off?) to the Abrams-produced 2008 film "Cloverfield," and had previously been rumored to be titled "Valencia" or "The Cellar."
“The idea came up a long time ago during production,” Abrams told Collider. “We wanted to make it a blood relative of ‘Cloverfield.’ The idea was developed over time. We wanted to hold back the title for as long as possible.”
The teaser starts off seemingly calm, happy and pretty normal - a couple plays games together and has the picture-perfect facade. OH, HOW THINGS TAKE A TURN.
Spoiler alert: they're actually in a fallout shelter, and she's not a wife, but a prisoner.
The suspense is literally KILLING US. 3-11-16, come sooner.
