If High Heels Make You Feel Closer To Heaven, You'll Want To Visit This Unique Church
Sadly, they won't be selling any heels. Just religion.
So there's a giant glass slipper in Budai Town, Taiwan.
And it has nothing to do with Cinderella.
The building is composed mostly of blue-tinted glass and stands 55 feet-tall and 36 feet-wide, and it only took two months to build.
Blackfoot Disease is an "endemic peripheral vascular disease confined to the southwestern coast of Taiwan," caused by the consumption of untreated water containing heavy amounts of arsenic. Historically, Taiwanese women have suffered far more severe cases of BFD than men.
A spokesman for the Southwest Coast National Scenic Area, Zheng Rongfeng, told Huanqiu that the church is filled with decorations and amenities that cater to female preferences.
The building holds over 100 "women-specific features" like "chairs for lovers of maple leaves, biscuits and cakes."
Because everyone knows women love maple leaves and biscuits. Who knows, maybe it's a cultural thing?
