If You Hoped For A "Friends" Reunion Your Wish Has Been Granted...Kinda
They'll be there for YOU! On NBC, that is.
Friends fans, brace yourselves - the beloved cast of the NBC sitcom will be reuniting for a two-hour special this February to honor legendary sitcom director, James Burrows. *Cue excited screams*
A.K.A. Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteny Cox and Matt LeBlanc.
Burrow's hit the big 1,000 mark when he directed an episode of NBC's upcoming sitcom Crowded last November.
Although all six original Friends cast members are participating in the special, unfortch, it may not be possible for all of them to be together at once.
“I’m hoping all six of them will be all in the same room at the same time, but I’m not sure if we can logistically pull that off,” NBC chief Robert Greenblatt said at the Television Critics Association's press tour on January 13.
Cross your fingers, people.
Friends fans should be extra stoked about this reunion since show creator Marta Kaufman has made it clear that an official reunion will "never happen."
The NBC special honoring Burrows is slated to premiere on February 21.
