This Epic New TV Show Reminds Us Of 'Mad Max' In The Best Way Possible

New TV series "Outsiders" is "Mad Max" meets "Duck Dynasty," and we're super stoked.

"Mad Max: Fury Road" was without a doubt one of the best films of 2015, racking up a total of 10 Oscar nominations this year.

Some nods include Best Picture and George Miller for Best Director.

The film is praised for its cinematography, exhilarating action sequences and general badass-ness.

Not to mention themes of power, vengeance and solidarity all set in a post-apocalyptic world.

If you're still riding that epic "Mad Max" adrenaline rush (because let's be honest, we all are), behold your next obsession: WGN America's "Outsiders."

The upcoming drama follows a family's fight to maintain control of land in the Appalachian Mountains, as they face threats of losing it to a billion dollar coal investment.

The series stars one of our favorite tough guys, Ryan Hurst, who played Opie on "Sons of Anarchy" - it's almost like he's coming back to life!

While "Outsiders" takes place in modern day, there's tons of gripping similarities to "Mad Max'"s post-apocalyptic setting, like this high-voltage ATV action.

Crazy, right?

We'll see just how far this insane family is willing to go to protect their legacy. Spoiler alert: things get EXPLOSIVE.

Town sheriff Houghton knows just how dangerous the "outsiders" are, and he's going toe-to-toe with them for power and control. It's hard to even choose whose side you're really on.

Oh, and did we mention the hardcore costumes?

Total "Mad Max" vibes...

As if things couldn't get any more intense, there's also plenty of steamy tension to heat things up ;)
