A Canadian traffic camera caught some majestic footage recently.
A traffic camera in Montreal was minding its own business when it captured this beautiful creature.
That's a snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus). Snowy owls mostly live in Northern North America and Eurasia, though they've been spotted across the southern United States–they're nomadic birds, and will relocate to follow their prey.
Here's a video showing the snowy owl approaching the traffic cam.
People are particularly impressed that the owl makes eye contact with the traffic camera, and are assuming it was just looking for a place to perch. But most importantly, everyone's acknowledging it's a really good-looking owl.
