Usually retro features like wooden paneling and pastel-colored carpet is something to be rid of when selling your house, but not for this Toronto resident.
This may look like an ordinary home in Toronto, Canada.
But as soon as you enter the foyer, you're transported right back to the 1950s.
The living room is perfectly decorated with velveteen couches.
Not to mention the pastel carpeting and floors.
This lovely time capsule home is owned by 96-year-old resident in western Toronto.
The home was built in 1940, and she has lived in it for 72 of those 76 years.
"I've always tried to be individual, and follow my own style", says the homeowner.
"I like soft colours and I like things to match and flow well together", she said, adding, "I prefer tone-on-tone to bright colours".
She based the design around her favorite colors: pink, purple, seafoam, and teal.
The house is now on the market as the homeowner will be moving into a retirement community.
She says she'll bring some of her most valued possessions with her, but much of the period decor will be dispersed between her children.
Most rooms have stayed completely untouched since their original design (as evident by the tiny tile and gold accents)
The panelled basement and wet bar also still remain, perfect for hosting an "American Hustle"-style party.
Hopefully the new owners will appreciate this amazing foray into design history as much as its previous resident!
