Pearls of Raw Nerdism is an online blog that has all sorts of comics about science, math, and other "nerdy" things. The comics are pretty cute and simplistic, but many of them, like Science Cat, are definitely smart and worth your time.

Science Cat - Vol 1 is a new comic from Pearls of Raw Nerdism.

The comic depicts a man and a cat, both clad in white coats (so you know they're scientists) after they've achieved something (unnamed) clearly remarkable in the field of science. I find it hilarious that the cat is referred to as "Professor," but I didn't really question it.

As Professor Science Cat and the nameless human scientist bask in their achievement, Professor Science Cat Looks especially pensive.

What is Science Cat thinking? Is there a way to improve upon the formula? Could this be the cure the world has been waiting for?

And then this happens.

Although Science Cat loves science, he/she is still a cat. And cats love to knock stuff off counters, no matter the value/importance we humans put on it.

"I don't know what I was expecting."

Dammit, Science Cat. You've ruined another remarkable achievement. At the time of writing, there is no Science Cat - Vol 2, but there are plenty of other funny and witty comments over at Pearls of Raw Nerdism.
