These Buildings Look Like The Lovechild Of "Inception" And "Alice In Wonderland"

Víctor Enrich lost his passion for architecture, but then his imagination went and got it back for him.

By 2006, Víctor Enrich was 10 years into his career as a 3D architectural illustrator, was well established, and was making a good living.

But still, something was missing from his life.

His work had grown dull and repetitive, and incoming projects no longer excited Enrich - he needed a change.

"I found out that I had totally lost my motivation for it. Even, I had begun to hate 3D architectural illustration," he writes on Bored Panda.

"So I began this journey with little money in my pocket that I saved from my recently closed business, but without any clear idea of what I was going to do in my life"

Eventually, Enrich began doing what he wasn't able to do in his job - let his imagination run wild.

And run wild it did.

After experimenting with creating whatever his imagination could conjure up, Enrich realized that it wasn't 3D architecture he was tired of...

It was the endless limitations his former clients placed on it.

"That is why I decided to truly work for myself and try to make a living out of whatever the hell was going to come out of my mind, without any personal or environmental limitations."

So, he made the most sensible change he could think of - remove any and all limitations.

"The result is a constantly growing series of pictures, which I have encircled in a project called "City Portraits" which depict buildings that for some reason were important to me during that long journey."

Now, he spends his time imagining fanciful masterpieces, most of which you'd only find in a dream.

And ironically enough, through his dream-like creations, Enrich has finally begun to live his.
