Starbucks Employees Totally Butchered How To Spell This Woman's Name
"One venti americano for Shame!"
Originally, David is from South Whales, hence her unique, Welsh name.
“I’ve had people spell and say it incorrectly in both countries, even though it’s not a very unusual name,” she told BuzzFeed.
A lot.
Pronounced “Sh-ah-n,” much like "Sean," her name is essentially the Welsh equivalent of “Jane.”
Some get respectably close...
While others are just way the hell off.
"Sham" and "Shame." Yup, nailed it guys. Great job. Someone definitely named their daughter "Shame."
But David's not at all bothered by Starbucks employees' consistently abysmal botching of her name. Actually, she finds it just as entertaining as the rest of us.
“Life’s too short to get angry about things like this,” she said. “It’s funny, and the world needs more laughter...I get a kick out of it, and if other people do too, that makes me happy.”
But what really makes her happy? Someone actually getting it right for once.
