Let the heated debate begin.

The internet is rife with heated debates about pointless matters.

First it was this damn BLUE AND BLACK dress.

It's all nonsense and I'd like a drink as well.

And then everyone freaked because somehow they couldn't find the panda among the snowmen.

But now, to close out 2015 in style, there's a new useless debate:

Arguments abound on Reddit from straightforward answers to even more questions (like if dogs wore suspenders which way would they go? And would they then be called suspenders or a belt?).

Even Obama thinks it's inane.

This logical Reddit genius made a valid distinction.

But since dogs are still doing this on the reg, I doubt they're inventing pants anytime soon.

And also because Google's "Dog wearing pants" image search comes up like this:

Given, they are all wearing human pants, but the evidence is all there.

Thankfully, Buzzfeed took a poll and now we can all agree and move on.

And for you 8% who say 4 legs, are you just trying to go against the grain or are you an idiot?

Human views rule the world, and dogs would wear pants on two legs. Debate. Over.
