A Man Flies His Mini Drone Through Venice Beach And The Video He Gets Is Just Beautiful

Venice Beach is, as one famous resident (Jim Morrison) put it, "Where the creatures meet." Okay, maybe The Doors' song "Love Street" wasn't exactly about the Venice Beach boardwalk, but the lyric does bode well to what goes on there on a daily basis. If you've even been, you know exactly what I'm talking about, and as a nearby resident myself, I've seen it all.
However, when Robert McIntosh took his miniature drone for a spin, he experienced something much different: a tranquil, quite morning.
First, of course, he begins at the iconic Venice signage which serves as the gateway to the beach and boardwalk on the crossing of Windward and Pacific ave.
Then, he makes an impressive flight maneuver through this walkway in front of a few shops, which feature a mural of the aforementioned sign on the side.
After flying up over a few buildings, McIntosh makes an even more impressive aerial move by navigating underneath this bench.
Swooping straight up from there, we get a very different view of this sculpture than what you might have gotten from walking on the boardwalk.
McIntosh then gives us a quick tour of the skatepark that is normally littered with skaters, but at dawn, it's completely empty.
Finally, soaring high above, we get a view of the entire legendary Venice Beach, which McIntosh explains, "Using a 250 sized mini quad for aerial cinematography is not only possible, but the ONLY way to achieve this shot."
Take the entire tour of Venice Beach for yourself, and start planning your visit to the West Coast to experience this kind of tranquility.–you'll just have to get up early to see it.
Who knows, you might even run into me (hopefully that didn't change your mind)!
