On an AskReddit thread, user gravipy asked IT workers and techies to share the stupidest things non-tech people have said to them. It's hilarious and a little cringeworthy.
Here's the question, in full, that was posed by reddit user gravipy:
"IT workers of reddit, what is the most enraging and idiotic thing a non-techie has told you?"
Should have some pretty good answers, right?
Oh boy, did it. I'm once again amazed at the stupidity of others, which I didn't think was possible. Again. Anyway, check out some of the best responses here:
Forgetting to plug stuff in is like 90% of people's computer problems.
This woman definitely sees herself as the center of the internet.
That's not how it works though.
The REAL problem with non-techies isn't that they don't know stuff about computers, but rather that they refuse to learn.
This is, like, really dumb though.
Well, now I guess we know what IT workers actually do.
Apparently IT workers dabble in the dark arts.
*facepalm*
Would that really be a valid excuse though, even if she didn't work a job that required Internet knowhow?
THEY'RE LIARS, ALL OF THEM.
No, that was you.
Wait, you're not a computer expert?
"I thought you were good with computers?!"
The struggle is so real.
