"I'll meet you underneath the mistletoe"
It's an age old holiday tradition, kissing under the mistletoe.
Classic Christmas songs and more modern Justin Bieber renditions all agree.
Yet where does this tradition come from? The origins can be traced back to ancient Norse mythology.
The god Baldur was killed with an arrow made from the poisonous plant. His mother was so devastated that she cried tears that became the white berries that revived Baldur.
She was so overjoyed with the miracle that she blessed the plant and vowed to kiss anyone who passed under it.
So, go ahead, get lovey under the mistletoe this holiday season!
