This Webcomic Hilariously Shows Us The All-Too-True Realities Of Clothes Shopping
I can think of few things more boring and miserable than shopping for clothes. As a kid, I hated back to school shopping. As an adult, I feel the exact same way. And apparently so does Jacob Andrews, a very funny illustrator and webcomic artist over at College Humor and the author of the webcomic "6 Reasons that Clothes Shopping is Hell on Earth." This comic is true forever and always, and you should follow Jacob Andrews on twitter. #ShoppingHatersUnite
Mannequins are odd. The ones with "real" faces get into seriously creepy territory. Not proud to admit this, but more than once I've mistaken a mannequin for a real person. And then I realized it was not a real person, and I was simultaneously creeped out and embarrassed. Also, I hate mannequins because of the movie "Mannequin." So, so bad.
The secret: the dressing mirrors are magic. TheMoreYouKnow<3
LEAVE ME ALONE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. Well actually, maybe they're just trying to help and I'm a dirty pessimist. You know what–Jacob Andrews also did a comic about optimists vs. pessimists. You can check that out here.
Because fashion is expensive. If you want to look good, you're going to have to pay very, very dearly. And we all know that if you don't look good, no one will ever love you and you'll die alone. So you better be ready to pay the flesh-price.
Nothing will make you feel fatter and more worthless than the damn inconsistent sizing. "Yeah I'll take these skinny jeans." "Oh no, you're gonna need an Xtra Husky." "Xtra Husky? That's an offensive name for a size. I'm offended."
Definitely the worst part of shopping with your mom as a kid. Waiting in line at the Gap is probably worse than the DMV.
