This Man Traded In Palm Trees and Beaches For Harsh Arctic Air And Snow To Capture This

Who needs tropical vacations when you have the Arctic Circle?
When Russian miner Ivan Kislov gets some time off, he makes the most of it...
Only he spends it a lot differently than many of us would.
Rather than leaving Chukotka - Russia’s most north-eastern region - for somewhere warm, Kislov heads even further north, to the Arctic Circle, where the cold is even harsher.
Why? To capture these beautiful foxes in their element.
Because as a nature photographer by trade, Kislov's passion lies with animals.
And naturally, he prefers spending his free time near photogenic foxes, instead of palm trees.
“Foxes are curious and can come very close, and I shoot with wide angle and telephoto lenses,” says Kislov.
And after seeing his work with these gorgeous creatures, it doesn't seem like such an awful trade off.
Kislov told Bored Panda that he sees photography as a “relaxation from routine." The talented photographer particularly enjoys going on “hikes to inaccessible places, raftings,” or just simply exploring his homeland to “observe the wildlife.”
Because who wouldn't want to be around these adorable, furry models if they were only a stone's throw away?
Just look at that face. He's been practicing his blue steel.
Sure, warm weather is great, and the beach is never a bad place to spend your time off...
But when you have this right outside your back yard like Kislov does, it's hard to want to go anywhere else.
Check out more of his incredible work on his website.
