Meet the Johnsons. For the past two years, they've been decorating their house for Christmas in incredible ways.
But this year, they may have outdone themselves.

Their display, which is synchronized with a custom-composed dubstep soundtrack, runs for 11 minutes and is made up of a staggering 7,827 separate lights.

The most challenging part of the whole extravagant display wasn't putting up the lights, but rather, programming them to sync with the music.

“I have not kept track of the hours but I bet I average about 4-6 hours per 10 seconds of show, the show is 11 minutes long so around 450 to 650 hours," Matt Johnson told BuzzFeed News.

But for Johnson, the profuse amount of time he invests is well worth the payoff.

Matt said he first started doing the show “because it made my kids happy but now it is because it makes all the kids (and their parents) happy."

And now more than ever, the Johnson's love how much joy it brings the neighborhood.

"I love seeing people’s faces as they watch the show and kids dancing in the street. Our show is very different, very upbeat, it is like a dance party in front of our house,” he said.

The Johnsons are also aiming to raise $10,000 to help build a clean water well in a village in Africa this Christmas season. To help donate to the cause, visit their landing page.
