"Sir, sir, give us a quarter. She'll do something understated."
Billy Eichner of "Billy on the Street" normally goes around the streets of New York, interviewing people. This time, he's teamed up with Julianne Moore to do a bit of street acting in Times Square.
If you haven't been to Times Square before, there's a multitude of people dressed as movie and TV show characters, hoping to take pictures with tourists for tip money. Moore intends to do the same with some street acting.
She's even equipped with her own tip bag. And she WILL make a killing. Why? Because she's Julianne fuckin Moore and she won an Oscar, dammit.
She started by reading monologues from "The Kids Are Alright" and "Magnolia" for a dollar - which was obviously riveting.
The amount of "fucks" in them unsurprisingly confused a few onlookers. This lady seemed to be particularly appalled.
"What...what kind of vulgar poison is this? Is this New York? Is this the 'greatest city in America?' Is this what our country has come to? Profanity, avarice, and flashing lights?" *Dramatic, bitter self-questioning continues.
Then, at the cost of Cookie Monster's lunch, Moore and Eichner steal the attention of another tourist, who, like the others they've approached, also has no idea who she is.
Sorry Cookie Monster...go find your dirty cookie money somewhere else.
Moore even cries on Eichner's cue, with the confused tourist eventually hugging her upon his insistence.
"She's trying! Please, help her...HUG HER...YES YES, EXACTLY!!! IT'S JULIANNE MOORE CRYING ON COMMAND! COMFORT HER IN HER HOUR OF NEED!!!"
Finally, after interviewing countless tourists, someone finally recognized Moore, making both her and Eichner's day.
Cookie Monster ain't got shit on Julianne Moore. And neither does Spider Man - ESPECIALLY not Spider Man. Come on, let's say it together...
