It was a snowy day in Colorado. The roads were blanketed with thick powder. This family, driving along in their SUV, spotted something strange in the distance.
They were unsure of what the dark mass was at first, but as they approached, they saw it was actually a massive herd of elk crossing the highway in absurdly large numbers.
They were everywhere, in a seemingly unending line. It's like they were stampeding–what could they be running from?
As mom filmed, she told her kids in the backseat not to miss the magic...
...and dad looked on in stoic silence. He seemed to be overcome by the beautiful sight.
After a while, the herd finally thinned out, and the last few stragglers crossed the road. It's not often you get to see something like that in the U.S.
