The White Lion Cubs Born in the Toronto Zoo Are Adorable and So Rare

They're not albino...don't get it twisted. But they are rare and incredibly cute.
The Toronto Zoo recently unveiled their latest animal addition, and it may also be their cutest ever: four 8-week-old white lions.
The adorable cubs are also some of the rarest wild cats on earth, joining fewer than 300 other white lions in the world.
According to The Global White Lion Protection Trust, "White lions are not albinos, but a genetic rarity unique to one endemic region on the globe: The Greater Timbavati / Kruger Park Region," located in Mpumalanga, South Africa.
There is also "no scientific evidence that white lions are genetically inferior [or superior] to ordinary tawny lions..."
Unfortunately, if you're in Toronto, you can't visit these cuties just yet - they'll be spending all winter in the zoo's lion maternity ward with their mother Makali.
