McDonald's In Japan Are Getting A 48-Piece McNugget Meal And That's McTerrible
You may remember the 40-piece McDonald's chicken McNugget meal sold here in the United States. Do you? Did you eat that? You're still alive? Wow, that's impressive. Well, Japan has decided it needs to up the anti by 8 (pronounced: eight, or ate if you like food puns) McNuggets in a promotional attempt for a performance group called NGT48.
And you thought America was the fattest country, didn't you? Well, that research may still be true, but at least we no longer hold the title of most McNuggets.
McWhatTheHeckIsGoingOnHere?! McDon'tDoThisToYourself. McOwMyHeartHurts.
The point of this promotional 48-piece McNugget meal is, as we mentioned, for a performance group called NGT48, which has 48 members in it, doing, well, performances of some sort. Make sense? No? It's the McNuggets fogging up your brain.
Unless you plan on making a trip to Niigata Prefecture as soon as December 1, you're going to miss out on this McDisaster (tired of the McJokes yet?).
That's right, according to a press release (which you can translate with Google if you actually want to read it), the promotional period begins at the start of December and will set customers back 1,800 yen (and we assume double that amount of calories or more). That's 14 American dollars and change (same amount of calories though).
