The struggles are real. Just ask these people.
1. IKEA furniture: Satan's gift to young adults.
2. Spending your first month's evenings alone, eating ice cream and drinking wine almost exclusively, watching reruns of "Castle."
3. Forgetting where you packed just about everything, and having it bite you in the ass in numerous ways.
4. Pretending like you know what people are talking about when they refer places for you to check out.
5. And then trying to frantically replace all your old "places."
6. Actually resorting to Tinder to make friends, because all your coworkers think you're weird.
7. Finding places to "steal" wifi, while your Comcast guy takes an eternity to set up yours.
8. The living hell of registering your car in a new state.
9. Denying your marginal alcoholism to no end, even though you drink alone at least five times a week consistently.
10. Asking practically everyone at work where the cheapest places to shop and eat are.
11. Having all of your Instagram posts be of food, because sadly, you still have no friends.
12. Being overwhelmed with fomo when you see all your friends from home's Snapchat stories.
13. Not knowing who to listen to for bar recommendations.
14. Resorting to Twitter to process your sadness, because you have no one to vent to.
15. Having to overcome your social anxiety to make friends, but never feeling like you're making a good impression.
Take heart though, fellow trailblazers. You may not enjoy it now, but the growing pains only make it that much more enjoyable once you've finally found your groove.
Until then, grab a bottle of Dewars and revel in your Netflix solitude.
