New York painter Dave Pollot adds an ironic twist to thrift store artwork by incorporating pop culture movie characters into the paintings - and it's pretty awesome. Imagine one of these in your Grandma's house.
You have to have a creative eye like artist Dave Pollot to be able to put a whimsical twist on these thrift store paintings...
Like, how cool is it that Mario's just chillin' out by a barn, 'cause he's a farm boy at heart?
And in this one, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley are just flying over this cute little mountain cottage in their Flying Ford Anglia.
According to his Instagram, Pollot works as a software engineer in the day, but by night he's "bringing new life to old thrift art."
He has various collections, like this "Star Wars" one that features this super killer Lady Vader.
You can buy his Star Wars collection here.
And this epic "Dr. Who" one that has this Tardis parody.
You can buy it here.
"Futurama" is pretty cool, too. It totally spices up yet another vase picture, right?!
You can buy the collection here.
And this "Guardians of the Galaxy" one is a total showstopper.
