Teens Today React With Shock And Awe At Using A Flip Phone For Texting

"Old people use this phone, it shouldn't be this complicated."

For those young'ins who don't know, T9 is the original texting program that used predictive technology to help write text.

T9 stands for "Text on 9 keys"

A group of teens was challenged to use T9 to text short sentences in under a minute. On a flip phone.

First reactions?

No, it definitely is not.

"Wow, hard buttons..."

After the initial shock subsided, they set their timers,

On their iPhones, of course.

And texted away!

"I forgot this was hard!"

"I might need some help."

So, how'd they do?

The results ranged from fairly intelligible,

to a bit truncated,

"It took me a whole minute to get one letter."

to complete nonsense...

Though to be fair, asking if there is gluten in something is fairly nonsensical in the first place.

So their verdict? "Forget this."

"I mean, there's no way you could take a good selfie on this anyway."
