Patrons at This Pub PreFUR to Have Lots of Cats Running Around, And I Don't Blame Them
The Bag O' Nails pub in Bristol, England is gives patrons a warm and fuzzy feeling upon arrival and departure. It's not just because of the alcoholic beverages, or even the good times shooting the breeze with a bar mate. No, it's because of the pub dwellers you'll find in this English dive: cats, and lots of them.
44-year-old Luke Daniels, landlord of the pub, explained in the Bristol Post:
"We once had 24 but that was too much."
Fair enough, but we love what you've got going on here.
And, let's not forget this is an English pub, so don't think the cats are just a gimmick to get people in the door. Bag O' Nails offer 100 beer varieties to make beer connoisseurs very happy. And happy they will be, because it's not just a bunch of big brands you may easily recognize.
"It's my job to keep in touch with new beers," said Daniels.
And that's just adorable. Come in if you like cats. Come in if your like beer. This is the atmosphere they have to offer, so just enjoy it for what it is. A regular Paul Collett, 43, said:
"This is obviously a very unique place where people come and drink and it's a community."
It's a strong community indeed, full of people doing what you're supposed to do at a pub, which according to Daniels is, "It's a proper old fashioned pub. Coming here is all about beer and talking."
The place is sure to be overrun by tourists as this adorable story only grows larger and is shared with more people. Get there while you can and enjoy the Bag O' Nails for it's warm environment while it lasts.
