We simply can't wait another 100 years for these injustices to be righted.
Are these facts true of 1915 or 2015?
This viral video by Focus Features asks this simple question to girls after reading statistics related to women's rights.
The video was created in conjunction with Suffragette, a British film detailing the underground movement to fight for women's rights in the early 20th century.
75 million girls under 14 are child laborers
62 million girls don't get to go to school
1 in 3 women will be physically or sexually abused by their partners
Every girl chose 1915. Yet all of them are true today. In 2015.
These shocking facts are meant to inspire everyone to continue the fight suffragettes of the early 20th century began.
They asked viewers to share their #hopeforourdaughters
And the response has been amazing.
As those in the film...
Meryl Streep plays Emmeline Pankhurst, one of the female activists in the film.
And it's many supporters...
Share their hopes for future generations.
Share your hopes on Twitter and Instagram and for each post, Focus Features will donate $1 to Equality Now.
