Walter White and his epic operations finally take their rightful place in television history.
It's been two whole years since the addictively riveting, legitimately life-changing saga that is "Breaking Bad" came to a close. Suffice it to say, it's been a sad two years...
But hark! There's news that may take some of the sting off and help fill the Walter White-sized hole in your heart.
Just recently, Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History accepted a donation from the show's producers of iconic memorabilia from episodes of the critically acclaimed series.
Mastermind creator Vince Gilligan was on hand for the ceremony at the Washington, D.C. museum, and had the privilege of watching his show enter the history books.
The unspeakably talented Bryan Cranston was of course there too, wearing his iconic pork pie hat, looking as dapper and clean-shaven as ever.
And what would a "Breaking Bad" honoring like this be without TV's most lovable d-bag, Jesse Pinkman, aka Aaron Paul?
Incomplete, that's what...ya bitch.
Mike, aka Jonathan Banks, was even in attendance, looking like his typical, indignant self.
The iconic Heisenberg Hat was of course one of the items donated to the museum’s collection...
Along with the two Tyvek suits worn by Cranston and Paul.
But those weren't the only donations made by the show.
Other props donated included a set of “Los Pollos Hermanos” cups, several bags of signature blue meth, the iconic sketch of Heisenberg, Hank Schrader’s DEA ID card, a “Better Call Saul” matchbook, and a purple corkscrew used by Marie Schrader.
The Smithsonian states that there are no current plans to make a display out of the objects, but did hint that they may appear in a 2018 exhibition on American culture.
Nonetheless, it's a momentous step towards ensuring one of the greatest shows of all time's rightful place in history.
As far as that happening in full goes, well, I guess we'll just have to wait. But something tells me we won't have to for long.
