After officially marrying the hyper-realistic mannequin, the man and his "wife" partook in an elaborate photoshoot complete with intimate poses, elegant decor, and multiple dresses tried out.

The unidentified 28-year-old has reportedly been diagnosed with terminal cancer, according to CCTV.

His reasons for marrying the lifelike mannequin center around a desire to experience the sacred act of marriage, but without bereaving anyone in the process.

However, there are plenty of people skeptical of the story's legitimacy.

Some are theorizing that the whole thing is one big secretive marketing campaign for "Real Doll" and that the man's story is fake - which would be in keeping with their oddly popular products, others are simply accusing the man of being desperate for attention.

While the story has been neither firmly validated nor invalidated, it's bizarre nonetheless.
