Pizza, soda, after-shave, burglars, classic gangster cinema, booby-traps, macaroni and cheese, terrifying (yet life-saving) neighbors and hysterical mothers all have one thing in common: they're part of the holiday tradition. Okay, well, you don't (hopefully) experience all of these things yearly, but Kevin McCallister did in Home Alone 25 years ago, and so you technically have been doing the same vicariously ever since.
You remember this family classic right?
Well, in honor of the film's 25th anniversary this year, Quirk Books has released a special illustrated storybook that follows the adventurous misfortunes of the McCallister family.
It has all the same plot points as the movie, including this precious moment when Kevin realizes that he does in fact miss his family, and wants Santa to give them back for Christmas.
You know, the family he thought he had made disappear? He enjoyed the freedom for awhile, but comes around in the end.
And don't think they left out other iconic scenes, like when Kevin uses the after shave and screams into the mirror.
This is just one of the many classic moments that will never be forgotten. There's just so many.
Like his wild sledding ride down from the upstairs of the house and flying out the front door. It's all included.
You can bet we get all the fun traps that Kevin sets for Harry and Marv (the 'Wet Bandits') in here too.
These two just couldn't win against Kevin, and that's what made this family movie so hilarious. Watching Marv try to get up the stairs is some of the funniest moments I can remember in holiday cinema as a child.
If you're feeling excited about this special release from Quirk Books, it gets better. You can watch a trailer for the book, "Home Alone: The Classic Illustrated Storybook," right here:
Pretty awesome, right?!
Don't be left screaming in regret that you missed out on a chance to get one for yourself.
You can get a copy for yourself over on Amazon. Happy holidays everybody, whatever money you've got left over we'd just like to remind you that you can, "Keep the change, ya' filthy animal."
