Six Perspectives From Six Photographers Resulted In One Man Looking Very, Very Different
There are many skeptics out there that believe photography is an "easy" craft - one that doesn't require as much technical skill as people say. But anyone that knows even a little bit about it, knows this couldn't be a more misled assumption.
To show just how much a picture's direction is determined by its taker, Canon Australia took six experienced photographers and had them shoot the same subject, but with different directions as to who he was to be depicted as. The results are eye-opening.
“A photograph is shaped more by the person behind the camera than what is in front of it,” Canon Australia wrote in their video.
This experiment, titled “Decoy,” was done to prove precisely that point and “shift creative thinking behind the lens.”
