By the time she was 20 years old, Mariam Pare was rapidly refining her artistic ability and had made great strides in recent years. But then, something tragic happened that would radically change her life.
When she was driving, Paré was struck by someone who was shooting a gun nearby. The bullet pierced her spine and immediately she was paralyzed from the neck down. But rather than giving up on her dream - which would've been easy - she did the only thing she could to continue pursuing it.
With her mouth as her only means of grasping anything, Pare uses it to paint with incredible precision, creating a diverse array of masterpieces. Here are some of them...
"Eyes"
"Red Riding Hood"
"Gretel"
"La Femme"
"Lady In Yellow"
"Lady In Blue"
"Bird On Wire"
"Autumn Hill"
"Snow Covered Evergreens"
"The Grove"
