Keep Your Toes Warm All Winter With These Easy DIY Slippers You Can Make Yourself
As the weather gets colder, keep your toes toasty in these adorable slipper boots.
Find an old sweater in your closet or check out the options at your local thrift shop.
Use paper to trace around your foot and give yourself a little bit of extra toe-wiggling room.
Trim your traced pattern (you can pin it first if you want to be very precise) from the body of the sweater.
Stick your foot into the sleeve opening at the wrist and arrange for the perfect slouchy length.
Very carefully, cut around your foot so only the bottom is exposed.
Connect your sole and boot portion with a pin at the toe and heel and then work your way around, stretching the pieces as needed.
Use the blanket stitch to connect your pieces: First, push your needle through both pieces from the top (1), then pull the yarn through until only a small loop remains (2), bring your needle back down through the loop (3) and pull tight (4).
Add the blanket stitch around the top for an added pop of cute.
