5 Hollywood Legends That Still Confuse People

There is a story about one of the actors who played a Munchkin in the The Wizard of Oz who was in love with the a follow cast member. His feelings weren't returned, so it's been rumoured that he hung himself on the set and can be seen during this scene straight through the trees.

Marilyn Monroe's death has always been mysterious to Hollywood historians. There are lots of conspiracies following her death including assassination by mob bosses or the CIA. However, investigators ruled it a suicide. 

George Reeves starred in more than 80 film and television roles, but after he starred in Adventures of Superman his career started to take a downward turn. He was found dead of a gunshot wound, which the police ruled a suicide. His mother promised that there was no way he could have committed suicide since there were so many strange occurrences surrounding his death. 

Italian director Pier Paolo Pasolini was found murdered in 1975. He was killed by a 17-year-old who confessed to the crime, but forensic investigators found that the killing was carried about by more than one person. His family believe he was assassinated as part of a political statement because he often spoke out against political and religious leaders. 

Elizabeth Short, a 22-year-old actress, was found murdered in Los Angeles on the morning of January 15, 1947. Her injuries indicated that she had been strangled, tortured and drained of blood. She was called "The Black Dahlia," by the press. Police were never able to track down her killer.
