The force is strong with these ones.
A recent law passed in Ukraine that demands all communist symbols be removed or taken down. Naturally, this statue Vladimir Lenin was no exception. But rather than destroy it, they decided to transform it...
Into Darth freaking Vader.
Ukrainian artist Aleksander Milov converted the statue to the (less) Dark Side by turning Lenin's head into Vader's iconic bio-helmet, and fashioning his coattails into a cape.
And apparently, citizens of Odessa, Ukraine's fourth largest city, are a little more than casual Star Wars fans.
Darth himself even came to see the big reveal of his immortalization.
Fortunately, he was sufficiently pleased and no one was choked out.
The best part? Milov made the Sith Lord's helmet into a Wi-Fi hotspot, so fans can surf the web while gazing upon his villainous glory.
Aleksander Milov and people of Odessa - you have our esteem. May the force be with you.
