It took a lot of bravery for Anna Clendening to audition for America's Got Talent... but she did it, and her story of overcoming her anxiety/depression is truly moving.
Meet Anna Clendening. The 22-year-old singer, who appeared on season nine of "America's Got Talent," was diagnosed with anxiety and depression at age 14.
Anna admitted that her anxiety and depression got so bad, she was bed-ridden for a couple months... that is, before she made the brave decision to audition for "America's Got Talent."
"I didn't want to face the world, and now I'm facing thousands of people," Anna says.
Once she starts strumming her guitar and singing "Hallelujah," her confidence takes over and everyone is blown away.
Her performance especially strikes a chord in judge Howie Mandel, who comes up on stage to give Anna a hug. He admits that he, too, battles anxiety.
