As if you needed another excuse to listen to "Let It Go" today.
It's possibly the best "Frozen" cover out there. Singer/actor Alex Boyé paired up with the One Voice Children's Choir and talented 11-year-old Lexi Walker to sing an Afropop version of the Disney hit's iconic song, "Let It Go."
The harmonious blend of the chorus, Boyé's backing vocals and Walker's powerful voice makes for a fresh take on the song.
London born Boyé is quickly gaining notoriety for "Africanizing" the pop landscape with his catchy covers.
Some other projects Boyé has done include his covers of the "Circle of Life" from The Lion King, and Coldplay's "Paradise."
Boyé says he mixes "big arena type songs" with "the joyful vibe of African music."
"The ultimate goal is to make people feel good and give them a few moments of uplift, which as I’ve discovered over the years, can have transforming and even lifesaving potential," he said.
Keep on being fabulous!
