If you're like most people, you probably don't have a particular interest in steampunk culture. But rest assured, you don't have to to appreciate this awesomeness of the Enigma Cafe.
Located at the Strada Iuliu Maniu 12 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, the Enigma Cafe, which actually is more a bar than a cafe, is the “the world’s first kinetic steampunk bar.â€
What exactly is "kinetic steampunk" you ask? Great question.
This is kinetic steampunk ― self-moving, cyclical, steampunk themed sculptures.
And they're totally awesome.
Practically the entire interior is laden with churning, kinetic sculptures ― the walls, the doorways...
Even the bar has it's own centerpiece sculpture.
The design itself is mesmerizing, but the clockwork and mechanical engineering behind each moving piece is dumbfounding.
Whether or not you're "into steampunk" is fairly irrelevant at this point. If you were ever in Romania, you'd have to have a screw loose not to visit Enigma Cafe.
