We all have our morning routines. Some are just cooler than others.
1. When we wake up, most of us do things like read the paper, or watch the morning news.
2.
3. But not artist Charlie Layton. No, he's got a morning ritual of his own.
4.
5. Started spontaneously one day, now routine, Layton dedicates a small portion of his mornings to drawing random doodles on his fridge with dry-erase markers.
6.
7. And as you can see, there's no particular theme he abides by. He just draws whatever pops into his head.
8.
9. Oh, and he does it all in 25 minutes or less.
10.
See if you can spot the inception-like easter egg in this one. You may have to look pretty hard.
11. The project started initially as a morning routine, but when Layton's friend Robert Avery posted his freezer art on Reddit, he discovered he had quite a few fans.
The post gained over 6,000 upvotes while accumulating over 13,000 comments, both of which served as clear indicators that he needed to share more of his whiteboard works.
12.
13. Thus, "Freezer Fridays" was born, where Layton shares one of his clever doodles every Friday.
14. We all have our morning routines. Some are just better than others.
