Koko the gorilla has a maternal instinct. She loves babies and wanted one, but gorilla babies are rare. So her caretakers gave her a very special birthday present, and now Koko has some little ones to call her own. Check out Koko's website and help save her species!
This is Koko. She has a strong maternal instinct and wants a baby of her own to take care of.

For her birthday, Koko was presented with a box full of adorable kittens so she could choose one to raise.
Koko immediately fell in love with this kitten, which her caretakers named "Ms. Gray."
I think this kitten's found a loving home.
But there's more. This Kitten, "Ms. Black," seemed to take a shine to Koko right away.
Ms. Black pokes out of her carrying bag to try to get a glimpse of her new mom.
And now Koko and both of her kittens are living together as a happy family.
A family grooming session.
Koko became famous in 1985 for her mother-like relationship with a kitten.

Now, that mother-like relationship is in full swing. The kittens even behave a bit like baby gorillas.
It seems love is powerful enough to transcend species boundaries.
Watch Koko meet her new kittens.
So much love.
