When you were in school, and your mom was a teacher, things could get a little awkward with your classmates. You'll remember these 17 things all too well.
1. You sometimes got to hear the best gossip about other teachers.
2. She didn't always understand that your classroom nemesis was pure evil and instead thought him/her "a sweet kid."
YEAH RIGHT MOM.
3. When she asked you which kids were having parties on the weekends.
4. It was impossible to lie about not having homework.
5. Thinking "DON'T SAY A WORD" when your friends hated on other teachers, because they were your mom's friends.
6. She would sometimes do embarrassing things in front of the whole school. You loved her, so all you could do was watch.
And you still loved her, of course. But try to prep some better jokes for all-school assembly next time, ma.
7. Your mom would not accept complaints about all the homework you had.
8. Sometimes you got to find out which kids all the teachers hated.
9. When you wanted to ask out the bad girl/guy at school, but mom would not approve. So all you could do was look.
10. Sometimes mom made you come into school with her on the weekends.
You felt like you'd committed a terrible crime against humanity to deserve such a cruel punishment.
11. It was impossible to actually finish an argument with mom.
12. Mom knew ALL the details about your friends from other teachers.
It was therefore impossible to go over to any of the "cool" kids' houses.
13. Thinking this when the other kids wanted you to help them cheat.
14. You sometimes hated your teacher, who just so happened to be your mom's BFF. Thus, your complaints were for naught.
BUT SHE WAS SO TERRIBLE.
15. Your mom always chaperoned school dances, so you had to keep your distance and mind your hand placement.
Had to leave space for Jesus.
16. You sometimes had to stay FOREVER after school.
CAN WE GO YET.
17. When you need help with homework, but mom's watching TV and "taking a break from teacher mode."
